Notice of KRIS2024 Postponement

KRIS2024 will be held in
August 2025 as KRIS2025.

Advanced research with a focus on social implementation is being conducted at colleges of technology (KOSEN) throughout Japan. Collaborative research with local companies and universities is also actively pursued, earning high domestic evaluations for KOSEN’s research capabilities.
Additionally, KOSEN represents a unique Japanese educational system, highly valued abroad, leading to the promotion of KOSEN education in Thailand, Mongolia, and Vietnam. However, while KOSEN　education is highly regarded internationally, the recognition of KOSEN’s excellent research with high social implementation, and its research capabilities, is not yet sufficient overseas. Therefore, it is essential to publish the excellent research results of KOSEN faculty as English papers to strongly appeal to and disseminate information about KOSEN’s high research capabilities abroad.>

Based on this, we evolved the special session of the International Symposium on Advances in Technology Education (ISATE) into a new international symposium (KRIS2023) hosted by the National Institute of Technology in March 2023. This symposium invited presenters from domestic and international KOSENs, universities, and other institutions to promote academic exchange.

Approximately 200 research presentations were made at KRIS2023, strongly encouraging paper submissions, resulting in nearly 50 papers being published, mainly in international journals.

Inheriting the philosophy of KRIS2023, we have decided to hold KRIS2024 with a revised session structure to accommodate presentations in a broader range of fields.
